Tomorrow
Tomorrow we set off. I’ll be gone for the weekend, Visiting Addison and Kaytlyn. I’m bringing mom’s old camera. People keep asking me “So, What are you going to do there? Planned anything yet?” Actually no. I personally have no clue, Though apperantly I’m being taken to a place called digital world, Kaytlyn’s mum’s tea shop and lots of driving.
I made my mix CD. I got it to fit 21 songs. Mom listened to it too. I’m bringing along some of my other albums though (Radiohead’s Ok Computer, Which I somehow doubt will be listened to. Not exactly driving music, I suppose, But that just depends on who you are.) And a few mix CD’s. Meaghan asked if we were going to light of fireworks in the living room (I think that was account of Sunday being Canada day) and I told her I didn’t think Kaytlyn would like that.
I might cook while I’m there too. I’ve been expirementing the past couple days and can make this really good tangy chicken (Lemons, Apple Juice and Garlic.) qhich is good on tacos and sandwiches and stuff. We all know how good I am at making sandwiches.
The dramatic chipmunk Kaytlyn posted about scared Emma.
The internet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Maybe it’s a sign I should get off the computer?
We have to wake up early to leave tomorrow. I’ll post what was on the mix I made for Kaytlyn after I get back… Keeping you all in suspence! *Cackles*
A new page
I have a new page. It’s about Matthew Good’s book ‘At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say’, and basically it lists all the stories that are3 in it and links to the one that are on Mr. Good’s site. I have added something that is in the book, as I personally find it funny, Coz it involves this phrase:
“those easily persuaded to climb inside of coin-operated tumble dryers should not ride this ride.”
YEAH! You know I’ll be wipping that one out sometime in the next week. It just occured to me last night how funny that was…
Also, The mission to make a mix CD is going along alright. I think I might have the selections down to 100 songs (I know, so many), Though I haven’t sorted through it yet today. Some artists it’s really hard to pick just one song (Sam Roberts, Metric, Death From Above 1979, Stabilo, Matthew Good/Band), But I’m sure I’ll weed it out. I’ve also decided to elimenate anything involving Dallas Green (Alexisonfire, City & Colour, Neverending White Lights) So that’s made it a bit easier.
Still can’t believe Leah Miller dates him *Shudders*
The Basking Chair
Tonight we went out and got the groceries, went to the dollar store and all that fun stuff.
At the great canadian dollar store though, I found it. Myself and mom have been talking about how I need a little seat/stool to sit on while I play guitar, And I found one of those canvas fold out deals for 3 bucks. It’s actually just what I was looking for, It has a shoulder strap so I can take it along with me if I wish. So I pay for it, I get back in the car and start telling everyone I got this cool chair to play guitar on. Then Meaghan says “Oh, then you can go basking!” I don’t really get what she means so I stare at her for a second then go “OH! You mean busking?”
We all had a laugh at that, So now I have a basking chair.
We also saw Glenda at the grocery store, So everyone stopped and talked for awhile… good times.
I will finally be reunited with my bestest buddy EVA!
(AKA A Post For Kaytlyn. And Addison if he really wants.)
And then we can play that game with the unicorns and rainbows (That is actually a cool game, and SRSLY has unicorns and rainbows!
Next weekend, I’m going to stay with Addison and MY BEST BUDDY! And there is going to be some driving involved (they’re bringing me back home) so I’m making a mix CD and I’m having trouble figuring out what to put on it. I have too many ideas. So, as the two jokers previously mentioned read this, Here’s a list of some stuff I though of, and if theres anything on this list that you don’t like, lemmie know and I shall not put it on (ooh and let me know if your cd player in your car plays mp3 disks coz then I can put even more on *cackles*). Also, sharing is fun. I always think up crazy ideas for playlists/mix tapes. Time to put that to use…

Shake me, I’m waiting
So.
Haven’t written in awhile. Seems this whole moving buisness takes a bit of time. We just got the internet today. I’ll try to write a summary of some of the things we’ve done, I suppose.
The weekend with Addison and Kaytlyn was teh awesome. We rented Marie Antonette, And that was pretty awesome. It also settled the question Katlyn asked – “I wonder if they show the beheading. I hope not.” No, they didn’t. It was still pretty cool. I actually can’t remember much else going on, But I can’t remember hardly anything anyways.
So then the movers came, And that was an interesting affair. Oh god, did I just type that? Anyways.
Movers… Moved all our crap, But this site went down the same day so after they were done we had to sit around (they had all our stuff, obviously, so we didn’t really had much to do. I almost had a nap on the floor actually.) for awhile while mom and dad took care of some of that. I also have a good picture of the movers:
Do you have a licence to drive that washer?
So that was pretty funny. I like that theres a cop car in the picture as well.
It was pretty cold when we first got there, So for the first 2 nights me, Meaghan and Emma all shared a room. Whenever the movers brought our stuff over I was outside almost the whole day (because it was cold inside) and got a sunburn. So now I have more freckles.
We met our neighbors across the street. And this next part I’m pretty YEAH! about.
We have a neighbor named Earl. His wife’s name is Rosella, so it’s all good. There’s a dam about 5 houses down from our house and I went down there one day, and there was a bunch of people there. Of course, as soon as I got there they all left so I went to go sit where they had been sitting (a picnic table, there was less bugs there), Then a guy comes out of the house they all went into with a puppy and a little girl. So they come over and the guy starts talking to me, And the whole while I’m just going “wow. This guy has a mullet. I just met someone who has a mullet.”
Turns out his name is Arthur, he’s got a bunch of kids (a couple are my age) and he lives just across the street from the dam. After awhile I go back home coz it’s pretty buggy down there. About 10 minutes later, The little girl and a couple older girls come knocking on the door, As I told the little girl I had a sister about her age. The other two girls are best friends (Chelsea and Jenna), They’re Meaghan’s age and… there wearing matching outfits.
So they hang out for awhile and then go back home at supper time. There was a community barbeque a few days later so I helped out at that a bit, So we met a bunch more people from around here. I can’t particulaly remember much else that happened.
Last weekend we decided to go to the green house, So we packed the car and went over. We cleaned, Worked on stuff, did things in the yard. It was a grand old time.
During drives we always manage to keep ourselves entertained. Mostly I listen to music, But I have also been known to roll the window down the whole way, Then utter a profound phrase: “I feel like a pony.”
So now whenever the windows open Meaghan asks if I feel like a pony. Of course I do.
For today, Meaghan asked me if I wanted to walk to the convinence store because we needed baking soda. I said yes, and on the way back we sat near the dam and read a magazine I bought, and then Chelsea and a friend of hers came outside and went swimming. So I was talking to her again, And it was all boys, boys, boys, So Meaghan decided she was bored and left. I just sat there and listened mostly, Though her friend (Jamie) was pretty cool. I told her my dad is a computer programmer and she said to make sure her dad and my dad never meet, Because apperantly her dad will talk to anyone about computers. Wow, Sarah talks to 15 year olds.
I do have one of my 3 boxes of CD’s here, And thankfully it’s the ‘I’ to ‘R’ box, Which means I have all my Matthew Good/MGB and Radiohead CD’s with me (I’m missing ‘Kid-A’ though, because it’s in a different box…), So that’s awesome.
I think mom’s waiting for the computer.
