I actually did something today, and am doing stuff this weekend, And instead of going into huge detail about it, I'm putting in playlists.
so today we went on a field trip to the fire department, which was sort of boring except for meeting new homeschoolers. And I think that once again, I'm the oldest.
Oh, and Mam emailed Mom today announcing that she's coming on Saturday for thanksgiving.
Addison and Kaytlyn are coming this weekend too! YAYZORZ!
Now, playlist time.
soundPedia is a pretty good site, except for they're missing a crapload of music. I couldn't find Alexisonfire. I mean, Yeah, they're Canadian, But they release records in the US, And they're known in the US... They had Social Code, which is at most at Faber Drive level of fame, But they don't have Alexisonfire. Crazy. So I'm also supplying a list if stuff I couldn't find on the site. They also didn't have A Perfect Circle's "Thirteenth Step" which is kinda.. well... dumb too, coz they have all their other albums, but nooo, they can't have my favorite one. also they only have one Bright eyes album, which is the newest, Which I don't have.
Emily Haines - Our Hell
A Perfect Circle - Pet
Stabilo - Habit
Spoon - Don't You Evah, Rhythm & Soul, The Beast And The Dragon Adored
Zero 7 - In The Waiting Line
Alexisonfire - No Transitory, To A Friend, Rough Hands, We Are The Sound
Yeti - The Last Time You Go
Weird Al - Confessions part III
Social code - Perfect Grave
David Usher - Black Black Heart 2.0
Low Level Flight - Change For Me
Dios Malos - You Got Me All Wrong
Finger Eleven - Them Vs. You Vs. Me
Matthew Good - Born Losers
They painted the yellow line on the road... It's slightly distracting.

Yeah. Week till my birthday. Woo.
We got groceries yesterday and we got lots of food for this weekend... I was kinda o.O at all the meat.
Oh, and there's this lady on Food Network called Paula Dean... and she makes some really strange food. Like Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf. And squares with cheese, butter and peanut butter in them.
Yum.
So there's lots of shows on that I'm watching now... everything premiered, So there's something on every night except Sunday. Every weekday we also watch The OC... which is amusing because most of the time while me and Meaghan are watching TV, Dad pokes his head in every so often... now when he does it when we're watching The OC he just sits down.. I know, The dramazzz are irresistible.
Schedule (not that it matters much):
Monday: Prison Break
Tuesday: Gossip Girl, House
Wednesday: Gossip Girl, ANTM
Thursday: CSI, then we watch either ER, Smallville, or Survivor
Friday: Moonlight, Numb3rs
Saturday: Whistler
Yes, we watch Gossip Girl twice. It's not like there's anything else on. Some shows I either don't have a chance to watch, or I'm too lazy (that happened with Chuck)
Also, I have a splinter on my finger. From looking at fruit in the grocery store yesterday. How I managed that, I don't know.
Yesterday I got this free sample of seasoning stuff in the mail... 2 freebies in a row. Woo.
Oh yeah, Addison. What do you want for your birthday?
Comments
So, haven't updated in almost 2 weeks.. and it's a little less than 2 weeks until my birthday... not that I'm counting.
I've actually been spending less time on the internets recently, because sometimes it just doesn't like me and won't work, or it's too slow, or whatever. I've been playing some games though. DOS games. Like Cosmo and Commander Keen. So we have all of the Commander Keen episodes now, and I finished a few of them in the past couple days, though the first one still doesn't work right.
Annnd I was actually doing things outside, too. Me and Meaghan one day had coffee, so we went outside and created a new game called catch the peanut. All you have to do is take a peanut, throw it on the roof, let it slide down, then catch it.
Yeah, did I mention we had some coffee that day too? Mmm, Irish cream.
Plus TV shows are starting to come back on. CSI is on tonight, I've also been watching Gossip Girl, ANTM, House and Prison Break. This season of PB is really awesome so far, and another thing I'm excited for is Whistler is on Saturday night... new episode.. finally.
We also went to Fredericton on Saturday, We went to Digital World, Mom and Dad picked out some DVD's and I of course, got CD's. I actually got 11, and in total it was 15$, coz I got most of them out of the dollar bin, then the guy gave me more discounts. Woo! Most are very shameful choices, some I got for LULZ, but I will say I got Foo Fighters - The Color And The Shape, which I was pretty excited about getting. Others I got were 2 Treble Charger albums (Like I need more pop punk) and 2 Moist albums (David Usher's alternative band from the 90s... it's 90s alternative, of course I got it.)
A few weeks ago I found a copy of The Killers Hot Fuss, and even though Meaghan has it, it's an album that I actually liked, and always said that if I found it used for cheap I'd buy it. I brought it home and there was no CD in the case. I felt pretty dumb after that. I'm just planning on burning a copy of Hot Fuss with the bonus tracks (coz Meaghan has the limited edition one), some remixes, acoustics and possibly some tracks from Sam's Town if I need to fill up the space. I bought a book and some really awesome old headphones along with it, for a total of $2.60, so I figured the headphones made up for it.
Also I need to know what people want for Christmas/Birthdays. I'm particularly looking at Addison and Kaytlyn, as those are the 2 people I need suggestions for (Especially Addison), And I can ask the people I live with what they want for Christmas/birthdays (I already know what I'm getting Emma and I'll be able to figure something out for the megster. As with the parents, though suggestions are always welcome, especially for DAD)
Yep.. that's about it.

It's nearing the no-money time of year again!
See, here, it starts in October and ends at Christmas. My birthday is the 10th of October, Addison's is the 31st of October, Meaghan's is the first of November, Emma's birthday is the 17th of December, The there's Christmas, and a new addition this year, is Kaytlyn's birthday (Which I can't remember the exact date but it's some day in between Christmas and New years. Keep think it's the 28th or the 30th.) So this is what I like to call "broke tyme nowe plz?"
That being said, I am writing my wishlist/cool stuff to think about post for my birthday and Christmas. Kaytlyn's asked about it. Mam's asked about it. I thought about waiting for a third person to ask about it, But there is none, So I figured I'd get writing.
First off, If you are buying me anything, PLEASE email my mother. ( andrea AT atypicalife DOT net if you didn;t know) I have a grandmother who tends to see things on amazon wishlists, goes to a store and buys it, therefore it doesn't come off my amazon wishlist (actually that's how we got 2 copies of school house rock.)
Second. If it is on a wishlist, Or you are looking at the wishlist, look at the priority. For example, quite a few of the albums on my Amazon wishlist I already downloaded, Therefore the priority is low. Some that are high, I did download, And I still really want it. Same with medium ones.
Now, getting to the linkage already...
Amazon Wishlist
General wishlist (clothes and stuff, Loads of funny shirts I want)
Some other suggestions that aren't on the list:
Gift certificates are MADE OF AWESOME. Most of the stores I like are HMV, CD Plus, Shoppers Drug Mart, American Eagle, Garage, Stitches, Amazon. There's probably more stores I like, just can't think of right now.
(Mam, PLEASE disregard this next paragraph. You never saw it. kthxbai.)
If it's funny, I'll wear it. If it's black, I'll wear it. If it's jeans, I buy it myself (So if you were thinking 'Sarah needs more jeans...' = Gift certificate.) for shirt sizes I usually take a small or a medium, depending how stretchy it is, guys I take a small and I can also usually fit into a kids large (it depends on how stretchy it is, once again. And I would not advise it unless it's from a thrift store.) Also, if you're not sure, Gift certificate (Or money)
Another suggestion is Guitar strings. For electric, I usually use These and for acoustic I usually use These. I'm always up for trying new strings, I'm just sayin' what I usually use (For people who don't know anything about guitars. If you do, You know what's cool.)
Something that I thought would be a good idea for stocking stuffers for myself and Meaghan, Is This site here, Which EVERYTHING on it is a dollar. Except it's all makeup. I'm a fan of lipgloss and I'm fairly sure Meaghan is too.
Another thing that would be REALLY COOL would be seeing Matthew Good in Fredericton on the 13th of October (zomg belated birthday present!) And that would probably be one of the best birthdays EVAR! Yeah I have nothing else to add to that, Coz I got excited thinking about it, And Kaytlyn would probably say I wet myself but I didn't really.
Once again, With all that, You have to email my mother and discuss such things with her. But yeah, Lots of ideas... did I mention gift certificates would be a good idea? And money?
EDIT: Idea bird hit me in the head. Another good site to go to, is sephora.com . It's expensive, Though it has nice, pretty stuff, so I would still advise you take a look at all the pretty things on the site anyways. PRETTY!

I don't have much to say other than I made another playlist.
So feel free to check it out

Music : The Future Freaks Me Out - Motion City Soundtrack
It's been all in all a pretty boring weekend, I called Addison last night and we talked for awhile so that was cool.
Dad goes back to work tomorrow so I guess that'll be lots of fun for him... Hmm... I wonder if I'll get any mail... I think I'm going to watch the VMA'z tonight too so that should have lots of LULZ. Important part of a balanced breakfast, yo.
I think me and mom are going to finally start working on our selling stuff on teh internets, so that should be great. I have a big pile of clothes in my room that I'm going to sell (as there's NO consignment stores here.)
Annnnd it's totally leik a month from ma birthday!
Which means I have to start a birthday/christmas post wishlist thing, So that should be good. Such as.
"Suggestion. If it's black, I will wear it. If it says something funny, I will wear it."
Coz I'm totally picky. I need a haircut, coz when my hair is long it's always really puffy. Very attractive look, Make note of it...
Ughhh why does pop-punk have to sound so good and jumpy? and catchy? But I was listening to more QOTSA, so I guess that helps. A little. But only a little
And on my CD tracker I added stuff to my want it list (which means I want someone to download it for me and burn it onto an mp3 CD, which could be a birthday present..), So that was eventful. I know I am so EXCITING!
I keep randomly remembering things while I'm trying to go to sleep, so then I start laughing. It's bad because I'll be trying to go to sleep then start laughing really hard.

But I got 2 more flash drives from OurStage, which means I have 4. Well I only have one extra one, as I gave one to Mom and one to Meaghan.
On all the freebie sites, People are getting them, And there's a part about this that bothers me slightly.
They don't know what it is. So then, since they don't know what it is they say "Oh, yeah, I didn't like any of the music on it/couldn't figure out how to play it, so I threw it out."
GAHHHHHH! Sorry.. but man. Don't throw it out. That's just not cool.
Today we went to a environmental fair, And it was so hot. And muggy. It was 28 outside before we left (which was at about 11 this morning), And it was a bit of a drive... so yeah.
It was pretty cool. There was a Llama. It was awesome. And very soft. Hehe, Llamas!
There was some cool stuff there... Sorry I'm so articulate. Mom is going to write about it. Go read it there.
I'm making tortellini. I love me some pasta.
Mom got Dad reading Stupid_Free on LJ. I have a feeling that could be dangerous. I enjoy the macro posts. Like, like, more than a friend. (Zomg Kaytlyn!) The snarking is also pretty good.
So the music I was listening to today was 'Burn The Witch', 'Little Sister' and 'Tangled Up In Plaid' by Queens Of The Stone Age. I may listen to more stuff later but it's mostly just that so far (not that I listened to a whole load of music today.)
Comments
And I'm doing all of nothing. Well, I'm listening to Queens Of The Stone Age but I'll get to that later.
Wow, I haven't blogged in 5 days or so. Huh.
Anyways, so since then we went to the green house, Packed the rest of our stuff up, and put it in the truck. I did go to the CD store and pick up 3 albums (Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton - What Is Free To A Good Home?, Alexisonfire - Alexisonfire, Queens Of The Stone Age - Lullabies To Paralyze), Which finished off my stamp card so I am now the proud owner of a 10$ CD Plus gift card. Then we drove home again. I drove with Dad in the U-Haul partway, and it was pretty cool. Quite bumpy though.
I did ride with Mom and Meaghan for the first bit, and we listened to my new CD's, and it was pretty cool. The song 'Tangled Up In Plaid' by QOTSA came on and I said maybe it was called that because of an incident with a Scotsman. I R SO FUNNY INTERNETS! LET ME TELL YOU!
Anyways, I'm really liking QOTSA right now, I keep listening to the song 'Little Sister' which is pure awesome. You can listen to some stuff I've been listening to here, Though there's some stuff I've been listening to that isn't on soundpedia (David Usher, Motion City Soundtrack, HelloGoodBye, Matthew Good, Emily Haines, Marianas Trench... the list goes on.), But that's alright. I'm still in the process of adding stuff (I have 21 songs on my mp3 player playlist and 10 on that one), though I'll probably finish that after finishing this.
Hey hey Carmelina. /Random Matthew Good Band reference. Though it is a spectacular song if you have a chance to listen to it.
We went to the library today. I got out a book about pirates. Yep.
Hmm.. Pretty uneventful week otherwise. Though new TV shows will be starting up soon so that should be very exciting. I'm looking forward to: Whistler, House, Prison Break, Gossip Girl, Lost, The Tudors, Smallville and CSI. I love CSI.
I may also watch Chuck and New Amsterdam.. Not sure yet.
Comments
Yeah. I went to a store called Kandy Land today. And I was totally shaking the whole time.
I got some chocolate. It's from France. And an energy drink, coz they had a million cool ones... I got a Flaming Moe (Which is from The Simpsons.. Man, that was an awesome episode.)
So before I get too far ahead of myself, I wake up to Mom asking Meaghan downstairs "Wanna go somewhere today?" so after a few minutes, She comes up and asks me and I ask "Well where are we going?"
St. Andrews! WOOO!
Yeah. We went to the Marina, there was a whoooole bunch of really super cool fish and stuff there. We saw huuuge Sturgeon's, and when me and Meaghan were looking at them one of them stuck it's head right out of the water in front of us. Which creeped Meaghan out.
Anyways, Other places we went here were The Sheriff Andrews House and The St. Andrews Blockhouse, The Blockhouse was really cool, coz the tide was coming in and Meaghan got stranded on some rocks coz it was coming in pretty fast. And we got seashells.
On the internets, I've joined A Matthew Good fan forum which is pretty sweet. Most music related forums I've been on were all "Oh, you listen to indie.. If you listen to anything that isn't Indie, no one will talk to you." So it's pretty cool. People listen to pretty much everything there, and even though I can't download music anymore, there's a pretty awesome music-upload thread. Oh, and it IS a Matthew Good forum, so that's always great. I'm counting down the posts until I get 60, coz apperantly there's a few forums that once you hit 60 posts you get to go on. Good stuff.
I also joined soundpedia.com, which is a pretty awesome music site where you can make playlists and stuff. The only problem I have is when I try to make a playlist half the music isn't there as they don't have a Canadian section yet. Oh well. They will soon enough. My profile is here, and if you want sign up, but if you're already on... add me. Well, add me either way.
So this week Dad's taking his vacation, so we're gonna go to the old house and get the rest of our stuff at some point, and I'm gonna close my bank account over there as I opened a new one over here... I still have money from Subway. Surprised? I thought so.
Oh, and remember that really ugly shirt I got? Here's a post about it that you should go read. Kaytlyn already gave her opinion to me (through email), which was "It's terribly hideous; in the gives-small-children-seizures sort of way. Blech."
DIRECT QUOTE FROM EMAIL!!111!! Yes.
So... anyone wanna buy it?

Mood : giddy
So, today we went yard sailing, and we got a box of records.
45's, for 5 bucks. There is 208 in the box. Which means each one cost 2.5 cents.
Yeah, there's some good ones. 'Rock Me Amadeus' by Falco for one, I Love Rock 'N Roll by Joan Jett...
Prince, AC/DC, Journey, Madonna, Eddie Murphy (!!), Crowded House, Survivor, Loads of good old 80's stuff.
Yeah, I know. AWESOME! There was lots of Mick Jagger ones, which I lol'ed at.. Ozzy Osborne, Bryan Adams... man, some good crap there!
Who wants to come over and help listen to them once we finish bringing our stereo (Which has a record player on it) over here, and get a new needle for the record player? Anyone? Kaytlyn? You'd totally love it, there's about 5 Elton John ones...
I also got a couple pairs of jeans, a new mp3 walkman.. found another shirt to sell on the internets. Pretty good day.
